Mobile Target Acquisition System

General
Since we don’t have yet the actual operational requirements, the solutions described herein, are based on TMP-Target Acquisition System integrated with one of two types of thermal imaging cameras, UN Cooled and the cooled. The main factors evaluating which camera should be used are dictated by the operational requirements, i.e. detection; recognition and identification ranges. Those factors are also influenced by the size and weight restrictions derived from the type of vehicle being used.

1. Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) – UN Cooled
The Thermal Channel is based on the State of the Art Micro – Bolometer 320 x 240 elements FPA Detector Various Lenses (Dual FOV, 60 x 180mm, fl is recommended for man-portability) dependant on the required range performance are available.

1.1 Thermal Channel Definition
The TIC is consists of palm-size, un - cooled thermal imaging camera that is based on a 384 x 288 pixels micro-bolometer detector and powerful, fully tested proprietary algorithms proven to be effective in poor visibility conditions. The TIC provides analog (CCIR or S170) video output. It is tuned to longwave infrared and has a less than 0.1°C sensitivity level.

2. Black & White CCD Channel

2.1 General
Black & White CCD will be installed in a boresight position with the Thermal Imaging Channel. Both cameras will have an approximate FOV for the Observer convenience and efficiency.

3. Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) – Cooled
3.1 Description

The Cooled TIC is an advanced, continuous zoom thermal imager camera. Based on cooled IR engine, the Cooled TIC Z™, it provides flexible configurations for short and long range applications.
With its modular design, the Cooled TIC can be custom-tailored to meet specific customer requirements from a stand-alone sealed camera to an open frame configuration. It can be integrated either into gimbals, pan and tilt stations and other fixed or mobile platforms. The Cooled TIC supplies a continuous zoom to get a closer look at security threats once detected and provides solutions for a large number of applications.

3.1.2 Applications
Tempestini Systems provides night vision capability for military and paramilitary surveillance, as well as airborne, ground and naval applications. The camera is controlled via communication protocol or by discrete signals, which are implemented either locally or remotely by an RCU (remote control unit). A close-up lens of x2.5 or x2 is available as well and can be connected for long range observation
